Spent Christmas in a traditional inn with amazing Japanese hospitality. The owners were incredibly kind and went above and beyond to make my stay comfortable. Loved the authentic tatami room and the traditional Japanese figurine in it. It was cozy and spacious. The cold winter was no problem with the kotatsu table they provided, which made reading and sipping tea so much more enjoyable. The location was also great, with several restaurants nearby and easy access to public transportation.
The shared bathrooms were not very clean and had furry seat covers that weren't very hygienic. The smoking area outside the room was unpleasant and contributed to bad smells in the corridor.

The traditional Japanese inn had a cozy ambiance with tatami rooms adorned with comfortable futons. the homely touch of the welcoming hosts, offering driving services for nearby destinations, made for a convenient stay in a quiet location. the private bath facilities were spacious, while a public bathhouse was directly across the street.
The only setback was a lack of restaurants within a short walking distance, but a 15-minute stroll led to a variety of dining options for foodies.

the tatami room was very spacious and the sliding doors opened up to a peaceful garden. I also appreciated the pick, up service from the nearest station, which was a 20, minute walk away. the shared bath facilities were clean and not crowded.
There were some aspects that I found challenging. the location of the ryokan was quite far from convenience stores and restaurants, so I had to walk a fair distance to find food.

Secondly, the hotel is located in a quiet neighborhood which was perfect for getting a good night's rest. I loved that it was away from the busy center, but still close to public transport.
